In a correct leg position:
  1. The hips are square to the handlebars and the knees are in line with the hips.
  2. The knees are tucked in to simulate the aerodynamic position of a rod bike.
  3. The knees should turn out slightly to ease strain on the hips.
  4. The hips should be able to turn from side to side to allow more power to be applied to the pedals.
Explanation
Answer: A- In a correct leg position, the hips are square to the handlebars and knees are in line with the hips. For a safe and correct leg position on a correctly fitted bike, the hips should remain parallel to the handlebars and the knees should be below and in line with the hips. If the knees turn out to or in, or the participant tends to rock or twist form side to side, adjustments to the bike fit should be made until a correct position can be obtained. Correct leg position is fundamental to safe, injury-free spinning.
