It is also true that genetics can affect a person’s reaction to alcohol, and some people get face flushes or even stomach pains as a result. However, as a server of alcohol you should neither judge nor determine how a customer’s genetic makeup may affect him or her (doing so could actually be viewed as discrimination). What is your responsibility, however, is to monitor the amount your customers are consuming and any signs of intoxication they may show.
