When fitting a spin bike for a new participant, the handlebars of a spin bike should be set:
  1. Three to five inches above the level of the saddle.
  2. At about the same as the participant has their handlebars on their regular bicycle.
  3. Wherever the participant feels is most comfortable.
  4. To the same height as the saddle.
Explanation
Answer: A - When fitting a new participant to a spin bike for the first time, the handlebars should be set at three to five inches above the level of the saddle. This position will allow most riders a comfortable hip angle. As they become more proficient they may lower the handlebars. The exact fitting within this range depends on torso and arm length, and rider comfort, experience and balance.
