Answer: E - Seneca the Younger wrote, “To err is human, but to persist in error (out of pride) is diabolical.” Seneca the Younger (who was the son of Seneca the Elder, also a philosopher) was a contemporary of the Roman Emperor Nero, to whom he was also a teacher and advisor. Nero later believed Seneca to be involved in a conspiracy against him and commanded him to commit suicide, which he did.
