Doula

Clinical and medical tasks should only be performed by a trained healthcare professional, such as an obstetrician, midwife, or nurse. A doula is hired by expectant couples to prove physical and emotional support to the couple during the perinatal period. She will work with the mother-to-be and her partner to sort through childbirth choices, write a birth plan, and to advocate for their wishes.
