Answer: B - The building in the illustration is the Pantheon, a monument originally constructed in 31 BCE to honor all of the Roman gods (and goddesses). The name Pantheon literally translates as “temple to all gods.” It was commissioned by Marcus Agrippa, a military leader and consul in Ancient Rome. The Pantheon was destroyed in 80 CE in a huge fire and was subsequently rebuilt. It was destroyed again in 110, then rebuilt in 126 under the Emperor Hadrian. That incarnation of the Pantheon remains standing in Rome today.
