Answer: A - Scientific rules of evidence also dramatically changed ideas about the law. There were many ways in which the principles of the Scientific Revolution bled into other aspects of culture. Prior to the 17th century, crimes were presumed to require very little in the way of evidence, particularly if they were heinous crimes. However, this changed (first in England and then throughout Europe) as scientific methods entered society. Rules of legal evidence became standardized as well.
