Answer: A - Julius Caesar was assassinated on the floor of the Roman Senate on a day later remembered as the Ides of March. “Beware the Ides of March!” was the prophecy of the Soothsayer in William Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar, as the Roman leader was warned of his eventual demise. “Ides” was an antiquated term for the middle day of a month. In this case, it referred to the 15th day of March, which was the day Caesar was murdered by his fellow Roman statesmen.
