Answer: A - Oklahoma Territory and what remained of Indian territory merged to gain admission to the United States in 1907. A proposal to make the combined territory an all-Indian state failed twice in 1905. Oklahoma was ultimately admitted under the jurisdiction of the United States with a small parcel of land set aside for tribal residence, which is not under jurisdiction of the federal government.
