Answer: B - In 64 CE, the Great Fire of Rome destroyed vast sections of the city. Ancient Rome was divided into 14 districts. Only four of the districts escaped damage. Three districts were completely decimated; the fire raged for six days. Contemporary accounts of the fire varied widely in their attributions of cause. Emperor Nero and/or a group of Christians may have been involved. Large fires were not uncommon in the ancient world, and several others are known to have occurred in Rome in the decades following the Great Fire.
