Answer: E - Emperor Hadrian is most commonly remembered for the construction of Hadrian’s Wall, a defensive fortification on the northern border of Britain. Archaeologists believe that it was constructed from about 122 to 128 CE. It was the most heavily fortified boundary in the entire Roman Empire. Not only did it serve militaristic purposes, the gates in the wall became collection points for tolls and taxes.
