Answer: C - Cab Calloway was a jazz musician during the 1930s and ‘40s, toward the end of the Harlem Renaissance. He was a featured performer at iconic Harlem jazz venue the Cotton Club. Zora Neale Hurston, Countee Cullen, and Langston Hughes were all noted authors of the movement. Hurston is best known for her 1937 novel Their Eyes Were Watching God. Cullen was a respected poet who grew up in Harlem and later married the daughter of W. E. B. DuBois. Hughes is arguably the most prominent Harlem Renaissance writer. He pioneered the form known as “jazz poetry” and wrote short stories and essays, as well. He is widely regarded as one of the most important and accomplished writers of the 20th century.
