Answer: E - William Lloyd Garrison was one of the most outspoken leaders of the abolitionist movement, and publically burning the Constitution was among his protests. This brought attention to both him and the abolitionist cause, so this kind of brazen act forwarded the movement. He founded the abolitionist paper The Liberator, which forward the abolitionist cause by detailing the cruelty of slavery and the moral and legal obligation to write this wrong.
