The building flush out is achieved by running the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems until a large amount of outside air has been delivered into the space and is best achieved during that time period. This allows for volatile organic compounds and particle debris from construction to be expelled from the building, thus making it more suitable for occupancy. The flush out period can take a period of weeks, depending on the HVAC system design and must remain at least at 60 degrees Fahrenheit and the relative humidity cannot exceed 60%. It is worth one EQ point.
