There are 80 questions on the IFSEA Food Manager exam, divided across the following eight categories: Culinary Arts (8 questions), Customer Service (10 questions), Food Safety (12 questions), HACCP (6 questions), Food Service Management (20 question), Food Service Math (4 questions), Nutrition (10 questions), and Safety in Nursing Homes, Senior Living and elderly issues in general (10 questions).

The IFSEA Food Manager exam is about 1 hour and 40 minutes long.

Passing the IFSEA Food Manager exam grants the test taker CFM certification which is one of two valid certificates for food management in long term care facilities.
