Registered Dietetic Technicians (RDTs) play an important role in the healthcare industry as they work alongside registered dietitians (RDs) to provide nutrition therapy to patients. They are responsible for implementing nutrition care plans, monitoring patients' progress, and making adjustments to their diets as needed. By taking the Registered Dietetic Technician (RDT) program, individuals can gain the knowledge and skills necessary to become a valuable member of a healthcare team. This program includes coursework in nutrition science, medical terminology, communication, and counseling. Additionally, individuals who complete the program are eligible to take the RDT exam, which, upon passing, will allow them to become a registered dietetic technician. This certification demonstrates to employers that an individual has met the minimum education and training requirements necessary to work as an RDT. Ultimately, choosing to take the RDT program can open up many career opportunities in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics.
