However, the damage has been done by the current flowing between these two wounds, and is particularly harmful to the body’s electrical system, and most especially the cardiac conduction system. Be alert to signs of cardiovascular shock and monitor vital signs frequently and know how to use your AED. Consider placing the pads before they are needed.
