Answer: C - An injury in which areas of skin are torn loose from the body are referred to as avulsions. An example of an avulsion is an ear being torn loose. However, eyes removed from a socket or teeth knocked out would also be considered avulsions. If a skin avulsion occurs, try to replace the skin in the original location and cover with sterile dressings.
