Answer: B - The colonies did not have strong relationships with each other since they had their own governments and little need to communicate. While trade among neighboring colonies occurred, there were not many reasons for them to communicate across regions. Their cultures were also very diverse, as were their economies. For example, the aristocratic South had more in common with Europe than the New England colonies.
