Answer: C - Overly aggressive bag-valve-mask ventilation can produce tension pneumothorax. Signs of this happening include increased difficulty in using the bag, distended jugular veins, absent breath sounds on the affected side, and diminished sounds on unaffected side. Treat with immediate decompression with a large-bore catheter on the affected at the second intercostals space, midclavicular line.
