Answer: E - The women's movement was greatly facilitated by the rise of publications specifically targeted for women, especially magazines, in the first half of the 19th century. While many of them were dedicated to domestic duties and fashion, they facilitated the creation of a generation of literate, articulate women who became increasingly visible in public, both through the publications and as editors. In addition, many papers written by women for the abolitionist and feminist movements emerged.
