Answer: D - The Seneca Falls Women's Convention was one of the first times that women publicly demanded the vote. The women's movement had conflicting goals and ideas about how to best create equality; early leaders did not ask for the vote, fearing that it would drive much of the male support from the movement (which it did). However, the declaration issued at Seneca Falls asked for the vote and the full privileges of citizenship for women.
