Answer - B - Epinephrine at 1 mg can be given every 3-5 minutes during cardiac arrest. During cardiac arrest the drug should be administered via IV push in 1 mg of 1: 10,000 solution. When given down the ET tube, the dosage is increased 2-2.5 times. Remember, since epinephrine stimulates the sympathetic nervous system, palpitations, hypertension, nausea/vomiting, tachycardia, and pale skin are side effects.
