The recovery team fulfills its obligations in preparing the systems and environment for the alternate site. All processing is done only on devices at the alternate offsite facility. Full-blown drill takes a lot of planning and coordination, but it can reveal many holes in the plan that need to be fixed before an actual disaster hits.
