Answer: C - The majority of rainwater ends up in aquifers, which are large underground porous basins capable of holding immense amounts of water. Aquifers are present underneath much of the landmass. Although rivers and streams are the more obvious locations of water, in reality they don’t hold much water compared to aquifers.
