Marital and Family Therapy

Category - Treatment

Before using behavioral activation as an intervention, you must be able to identify:
  1. Those behaviors that provide the most pleasure and interest
  2. Those behaviors that have a high likelihood of repetition
  3. How many friends your client has to interact with
  4. Whether or not transportation is available
Explanation
Answer - A - Without the behaviors that provide increased pleasure and interest it would be hard to know which behaviors would be able to be reinforced. Whether or not the behavior is repeated or not isn’t quite as important at this stage. And while social interaction is important, it’s not quite as important as making sure that the client remains interested in the activity for a designated period of time so that the interaction can be deemed effective.
