To become a Licensed Chemical Addictions Counselor, prospective counselors may apply to their local state governments for a local licensing examination. Requirements may vary by state. Many States use IC&RC standards for examinations; check with you local state licensing board.
IC&RC addiction counselor examinations are both computer based or paper based exams consisting of 50 questions, with 60 minutes per examination.
