The Illinois Real Estate Exam is administered by the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulationï¿½s Bureau of Real Estate Professions for prospective real estate brokers, managing brokers, leasing agents, real estate firms, real estate appraisers, auctioneers, auction firms, home inspectors, and home inspector entities applying for licenses. All salespersons and brokers must pass the computer exam in order to qualify for a license in Illinois.
Exams are scheduled based on the volume of applicants. Test-takers may choose from testing in Chicago or Springfield.
